Computer science engineer and Cybersecurity professional for more than 5 years (10 years in IT sector). Started on IT sector as developer, but then changed to Cybersecurity. Experience in private and public sectors as cybersecurity consultant and advisor. Talking about cybersecurity, I have worked at Ericsson as CEH and then moved to OESIA, where I obtained the CHFI certification and where I am currently deployed to an information security office for the regional healthcare system in Valladolid (Spain), performing ethical hacking and forensic services, vulnerability management, cybersecurity awareness, policies and guides development and compliance with the Spanish National Security Scheme, among others.

Clive is a Cyber Incident Responder and Threat Hunter at an international MSP, with 25 years’ experience in information technology, and over a decade working within information security. He has worked in a range of roles for both public and private entities. Whilst primarily self-taught, he currently holds CEH, CHFI, and multiple other professional and vendor-specific certifications. He himself is passionate about learning and is a ‘lifelong learner’, finding that the more he learns, the more there is.

David LaPlante is an experienced Cyber Security and Information Technology Expert with over 30 years of demonstrated history providing consulting services and holds multiple security certifications as a CISSP, CCISO, CHFI and CEH. He as provided support to customers in multiple critical infrastructure industries in the Public and Private Sectors including Federal, State, and Local Government, transportation and manufacturing organizations. David has filled a wide variety of roles as a Cyber Security Consultant and is skilled in forensics, cyber security and risk assessment, vulnerability management, networking and compliance activities.

David Rodriguez Regueira

David Rodríguez Regueira is a cybersecurity expert with over 15 years of experience in the field of IT and Cybersecurity in the Spanish Air Force, as a Forensic and Malware Analyst and Cyber Intelligence Analyst. He is, as well, Directory of Cybersecurity of Minery Report. He has extensive experience in weapon system security, incident investigation, audits and penetration testing, blue and red teaming and specific tools and systems development. David participated in cyber exercises at national, European and NATO levels. He holds a Master of Science in Cyber Security from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and has completed various courses and industry certifications. He is an autodidact who is passionate about cybersecurity, with the ability to collect, analyze and document all types of information. David also has experience managing personnel and served as a civil protection volunteer for over 6 years.

Emilio Flores

Emilio Flores

Emilio Flores is an accomplished cybersecurity and digital forensics professional with a wealth of experience in the industry. Currently serving as Principal Technology Risk Analyst at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions where he is responsible for providing specialized cyber risk expertise in assessing and triaging incidents at Federally Regulated Financial Institutions (FRFIs) and overseeing the regulatory assessment of FRFIs' cyber and tech resilience.

Emilio is also an instructor at Vancouver Community College, where he teaches and develops curriculum for Advanced Network Systems, Computing Security Architecture, and Network Exploits & Vulnerabilities. Emilio has also held different roles in the industry; security architect where he designed and deployed security controls to mitigate cyber threats and defined security requirements for enterprise projects; and as an investigator where he conducted cybersecurity and online crime investigations of banking accounts and network activities.

Throughout his career, Emilio has shown keen ability to evaluate complex technical issues and provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders at all levels. He is well-regarded for his analytical skills, his ability to lead and collaborate with teams, and his commitment to staying up-to-date in the field. Emilio holds a Bachelor of Technology in Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics from British Columbia Institute of Technology and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Information Security Engineering from SANS Technology Institute with a specialization in Cloud Security. He also holds several industry certifications, including GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).

Jean-Marc Dupuis has been in the IT sector for over 25 years, with more than twenty years of experience focused in the IT Security field. In his work, Jean-Marc has implemented IT Security Infrastructure solutions aimed as mitigating risks, vulnerabilities and incidents as well as ensuring compliance with industry standards. His clients include various Government of Canada departments, crown corporations, and private sector firms. His first-hand knowledge and experience is complimented by his various certifications including CISSP, CCSP, CISA, CRISC, CEH, ECSA, and CHFI.

Jean-Marc is a true technology junky, always seeking out opportunities to learn about upcoming technology and trends in the security field.

Jose Manuel Soriano Orozco

At eleven years old I started in the computing world with a PC 468DX2 running at 66Mhz and my 56kbps internet connection. A few years later I started using IRC to join system and network groups. My training has never ended, from the age of 17 to the present I have not stopped updating myself in terms of IT and cybersecurity, studying a Bachelor Degree in Business Information Technology, Master in cybersecurity, various Microsoft certifications and in recent years, several certifications also in cybersecurity.

Currently I am the IT Manager at INERCO CORPORATION, where I have been doing all kind of tasks with my team for twenty years; designing the cybersecurity strategy, doing internal training, organizing the infrastructure, etc. I can say for sure that I enjoy a lot what I do.

I dedicated a lot of time helping other people and non-profit organization, back to 2007 I created the Alcolea Party, a non-profit event where we helped different ONG that the needed support, there we gathered many ethical hackers and technology enthusiasts, organizing different conferences on cybersecurity and an interesting CTF.

I also give some speaks on cybersecurity awareness in high schools to give young people basic training on social engineering and other sections of cybersecurity so they can protect themselves in this insecure world.

My predictions for the future are continually learning, researching, and evolving considering that the technological world never stops.

Kasey Brehme

Lieutenant Commander Kasey A Brehme, native of Waretown New Jersey, enlisted in the Navy in January of 1999. Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois he reported to the United States Navy Presidential Honor Guard. After completing his Honor Guard tour he returned to Great Lakes completing Information Systems Technician training. He received his Commission September 2010 through the Limited Duty Officer program, completing his Bachelors of Science in Information Technology in 2012. He received his Bachelors of Science in Information Technology Management from American Military University and his Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University.

His enlisted tours include Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station where he qualified as Chief Watch Officer. USS John C Stennis (CVN74) as Radio Leading Petty Officer, he was selected for Chief in 2009 while assigned to SECDEF Cables as an Executive Support Officer.

Since commissioning he has been stationed at Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Joint Service Support Center (JSSC) as a System Control officer managing the Global Command and Control System - Joint (GCCS-J) tier II network support. USS George H. W. Bush (CVN77) as Communications Officer, United States Fleet Forces Command as Information System Security Officer, Officer in Charge of Naval Computer Telecommunications Strategic Communications Unit, Combat Systems Information Officer for USS Nimitz (CVN68) and most recently is the Chief Information Officer for Commander Task Force 67.

Miguel is an Incident Response Commander at Amazon with over 14 years of experience and an extensive technical background as a cybercrime investigator. Throughout his career, Miguel has been involved in investigating all kind of cases due to his experience in public and private sector. During his career Miguel worked in different countries like Spain, UAE, Poland, or Ireland. He’s a strong, persuasive communicator and influencer who engages effectively with multiple senior leaders and cross-cultural, geographically diverse teams with the ability to install a culture of team collaboration to achieve common objectives.

When he’s not busy with the Incident Response, Miguel likes to spend time doing sport like cycling and running as well as enjoy with his family.

Nidhi Vaidya is a risk and cybersecurity professional located in Canada. Her diverse and global experience have encompassing roles in strategy, governance, compliance, audit and risk management along with MBA in IT Business Management. As an infosec enthusiast, third party risk professional and cybersecurity practitioner, she has focused her career on implementing and sustaining programs to effectively manage cyber risks and align security measures with business and IT strategies and Regulations.

Nidhi has close to one and half decade of experience in the information technology industry and holds numerous IT certifications. She has worked in security consulting, advisory, audit, operations and policy, and led development of frameworks supported by ISO 27001, COBIT, PCI DSS, NIST etc. She also serves as an advisor/board member for several non-profit cybersecurity organizations. She also volunteers for and supports Women in Security.

Peter Corroa

Peter Corroa

Peter Corrao has experience as a cybersecurity practitioner in both the IT and OT space. He is currently a department manager for a global organization that focuses on helping critical infrastructure solve some of their most pressing cyber challenges. He has experience across all facets of cyber and technology, from developing cybersecurity policy for multi-national corporations to front-line cybersecurity operations for a major provider of financial services. He holds multiple certifications including CISSP, CEH, CHFI, and CISA. He is also an aviation enthusiast and holds a commercial pilot’s license in both airplanes and helicopters.

He is an Cyber Security & DFIR professional with 25 years of rich experience in the field of Digital Forensics, Cyber Laws, Information Security, Cyber Audit, and Incident Response. B.E (Electronics and Telecommunications) and possesses additional qualifications such as CHFI, MCFE, CCO, CCPA, CEH, RHCSA, IVTA (CMU, Pittsburgh, USA), Advance Cyber Forensic Course (CDAC), Cyber Crime Investigator (CCI), Cyber Crime Intervention Officer (CCIO) and Access Data Certified Professional. Head of a Digital Forensic Lab at CERT-In, Ministry of Electronics and IT, New Delhi from Feb 2019 to Feb 2021. Digital Forensic Analyst Excellence Award for the year 2021. Member, CII Task Force on Cyber Security for the Year 2019-20, 2020-21.

Jagdish Mohite

Jagdish Mohite is an experienced Cybersecurity Professional with 20 years of experience, working for Akamai Technology as Principal Security Consultant. He holds a master’s degree in Cyber Security from Purdue Global, having multiple certifications, OSCP, OSWP, CRTP, CEH, CISSP, CHFI, CISA, PMP. Jagdish earlier worked on various international engagements, and was in Germany and Sweden for a few years. His work extensively contributes towards securing Web Applications and API’s, he is good at malware reverse engineering. Jagdish is based out of the beautiful mountain state, Colorado in the USA.

Michael Hughes is a self-motivated senior leader experienced Information Security Professional with C|CISO, CISSP, CISM, C|HFI, and ISO 27001 Lead Auditor. He has over 40 years’ experience in IT, Information Security Physical Security and Management. He has excellent Man Management, Relationship/Stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills which have been used in a number of different business environments including working on unique Government projects for commercial organisations to the legal sector and hosting providers.

The specific duties and responsibilities of the SC members include:

  • Approve key policies governing the operation of EC-Council Certification Division.
  • Assuring consistency of decision making as well as the criteria used therein.
  • Serve on appeals and complaints task groups as appointed by the SC Chair.
  • Promote and provide guidance to promote EC-Council certifications.
  • Provide guidance regarding international initiatives supporting EC-Council certifications.
  • Provide guidance to support educational initiatives related to EC-Council certifications.
  • Determine areas of research required to improve EC-Council certifications.
  • Serve on task forces / subcommittees as appointed by the SC Chair.
