Cate Hennard
Cathryn M. Hennard is an accomplished cyber security professional, having over 15 years of experience in the information technology field. Currently she is the Information Security Engineer at Rochester Regional Health, a five hospital healthcare system in Rochester, NY. Cathryn is responsible for the web proxy and cloud security products, incident response and sits on the Security Review Board. Prior to her current role, she served as the Integration Architect and Senior Application Security Analyst for Rochester Regional Health’s electronic medical record (EMR). She joined Rochester Regional Health after more than a decade of security consulting, DR/BCP and risk assessment experience in the education, financial, healthcare and manufacturing industries. Cathryn started her information security career at JPMorgan Chase working as mainframe security analyst in the banking and finance industry. She holds several certifications including EC-Council Certified Incident Handler (E|CIH). Her areas of professional interest are operational process improvement, strategic implementation architecture and mentoring the next generation of cyber security professionals.
A Rochester native, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling abroad and creating new recipes in her kitchen. Cathryn regularly volunteers in her community and is an active member of Mensa, having served as President and Vice President on the board of the local chapter.

He is a Certified Mobile forensics Instructor by Cellebrite Inc.
Having conducted numerous cyber breach investigations in the financial sector has wealth of experience in full Incident Response Lifecycle on cyber breach investigations (Preparation, Detection, Containment and Recovery). He is an alumni of Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, CDAC Noida India and Spanish National Cyber Security Institute, INCIBE in Collaboration with Carnegie Melon University/Software Engineering Institute USA; Creation and Management of Computer Emergency/Incident Response Teams, CERT. He has offered numerous lectures on Cyber Crime Prevention and Incident Response to General Duty Law Enforcement Officers Savings and Credit Cooperative Societies, SACCOs CEOs, IT Risk Managers among many others.
He has written a book on Prevalence of Cybercrime and Police Preparedness, Nairobi Kenya.
The specific duties and responsibilities of the SC members include:
- Approve key policies governing the operation of EC-Council Certification Division.
- Assuring consistency of decision making as well as the criteria used therein.
- Serve on appeals and complaints task groups as appointed by the SC Chair.
- Promote and provide guidance to promote EC-Council certifications.
- Provide guidance regarding international initiatives supporting EC-Council certifications.
- Provide guidance to support educational initiatives related to EC-Council certifications.
- Determine areas of research required to improve EC-Council certifications.
- Serve on task forces / subcommittees as appointed by the SC Chair.
